The Goodman Co. is taking advantage of a sellers market.

The West Palm Beach-based developer of a still-unnamed mall on Duval County’s Southside recently sold shopping centers in Orange Park and Middleburg in North Florida for nearly $20 million.

“We couldn’t pass up the opportunity,” said John Dowd, Goodman vice president. “There’s a lot of money out there chasing a few good pieces of property.”

The shopping centers are:

* Blanding Crossing in Orange Park, home of BJ’s Wholesale Club. It sold for $11.25 million.

* Middleburg Crossing, a Publix Super Market-anchored center at 2640 Blanding Blvd., which sold for $7.4 million.

The Margolias Realty Group in Atlanta bought the Middleburg center, according to property records.

Miami Beach-based North Miami Warehouse, a limited liability corporation, bought the Orange Park center, according to property records.

Earl Pertnoy, a member of the Miami Beach law firm Pertnoy, Solowsky, Allen & Haber, is listed as manager of North Miami Warehouse. He did not return calls for comment.
